Our Nursing Aide, Caregiving and Healthcare Programme is designed for working adults, Foreign Domestic Workers, caregivers, and individuals who want to develop practical knowledge and skills in supporting children, elderly persons, patients, and individuals who may require assistance with their daily activities.
Students learn through a combination of classroom discussion, demonstrations, practical exercises, and hands-on training. Our training facilities are equipped to help students practise essential caregiving and healthcare support skills in a safe and supportive learning environment.
Under the guidance of experienced trainers, students develop the confidence, professionalism, communication skills, and practical competencies needed to provide responsible and compassionate care.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The programme provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills related to nursing aide duties, caregiving, and healthcare support.
Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:
- Understand the basic roles and responsibilities of a nursing aide and caregiver.
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting.
- Apply proper hygiene, infection-prevention, and workplace safety practices.
- Understand basic patient observation and the importance of reporting changes in a person's condition.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for assisting with mobility, positioning, and safe movement.
- Provide appropriate support for elderly persons and individuals who require assistance with daily activities.
- Apply basic principles of nutrition, hydration, personal care, and general wellbeing.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients, patients, family members, and healthcare personnel.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, dignity, confidentiality, and respect when providing care.
- Recognise situations that require assistance or referral to a qualified healthcare professional.
- Apply basic emergency awareness and safety procedures within the caregiver's permitted scope of practice.
- Develop the professionalism, confidence, and practical skills needed for healthcare and caregiving environments.

– Enrolment for the caregiver training program is subject to availability, and incomplete applications will not be processed.
– The course is conducted in English.
– Course contents and prices for the certificate in healthcare support are subject to change.
– Students who choose to drop out prior to successful completion of their nursing aid certification will be requested to pay all fees in full and will not be eligible for any discounts.
– To obtain their relevant certificates, students are required to meet the following criteria:
- Minimum attendance of 90% and above
- Pass all assessments required by the course
- Abide by the student code of conduct.
